Parm Scores Career High 21 Points in Broncos Loss to Warriors, 70-62

TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos closed their weekend road trip in Turlock where freshman Shyheim Parm scored his career high 21 points as the Broncos fell to the Warriors, 70-62.
 
It was a battle in the first half as CPP shot 13-31 from the floor and the Warriors shot 13-27. The Broncos outshot Stan State by two shots from beyond the arch, as the Broncos hit five threes against the Warriors two three pointers in the first half. CPP held the lead going into the half, 35-33.
 
To start the second half, sophomore guard Christopher Mitchell scored five straight points for the Broncos. Stan State took the lead for the first time in the second half with 6:04 left on the clock when they went on an 8-0 run to expand their lead to five points with the score, 58-53. The Warriors continued to solidify their lead with a 7-0 run with 3:01 left on the clock to down the Broncos, 70-62.
 
Parm led the Broncos in points as he collected 21 points and had seven rebounds and three steals. Mitchell scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and had one assist. Sophomore guard Brase Dottin added 13 points to the board.
 
The Broncos' next game is Thursday, January 19th as they take on Cal Poly Humboldt in Kellogg Arena, with tip-off set for 7:30 pm.
