POMONA, CA –
Daisy Duke collected 20 kills in Friday night's match against Cal State San Marcos, helping lead the Broncos to their fifth consecutive home sweep and their 12
th straight home victory dating back to last season. With the win, CPP improves to 14-3 on the season and 9-0 at home, while sitting at second in the CCAA standings with a 7-2 conference record.
The Broncos' attack was firing on all cylinders against the Cougars, with the big three of Duke,
Samantha Campion, and
Madison Novak each collecting double-digit kills with just a combined five attack errors. Duke's 20-kill performance was her first of the season and the eighth time she has done so in her career. Campion (21) and Novak (23) also each have a 20-kill game this season, Campion's coming on Sept. 9
th against Azusa Pacific and Novak's coming on Sept. 16
th against Cal State East Bay.
Collectively, the Broncos outhit the Cougars .400 to .196, marking the third time this season that CPP has swung at a rate of over 40 percent. The team's 53 kills are their fifth-most on the season and the most in any three-set match they've played.

Caitie Mueller and libero
Avery Percival both led the team with 11 digs, while Duke was close behind with 10 of her own. Mueller's 46 assists were closely tied with the team's success on attack, as those 46 are her third-most of the season and her most in a three-set match.
After CPP cruised to a 25-16 first set win, they fought off the Cougars 25-21 in set two to take a 2-0 lead. Down 4-3 to CSUSM in set three, the Broncos went on an incredible 15-point streak to take a commanding 18-4 lead. The Broncos would close out the sweep, appropriately coming on Duke's 20
th kill of the match.
