POMONA, CA –
Daisy Duke tied her career-high with 25 kills on Friday night, also tying the third-most kills in a match in program history (25-point scoring format since 2008). It was also the 10
th 20-plus kill performance of her career, and an incredible 64
th time she has reached double-digit kills in a match.
Juniors
Madison Novak and
Samantha Campion also contributed double-digit kills with 18 and 12, respectively. Novak turned in a stellar performance with 0 attack errors on 31 total attempts, good for a .581 hitting percentage in the match - her best of the season.
Four separate Broncos collected double-digit digs on defense, including Campion (16),
Avery Percival (15), Duke (11), and
Caitie Mueller (10). Back in September, CPP collected a season-high 103 digs against the Pioneers, their most in match since they had 114 in the NCAA West Regional against Cal State San Bernardino last season.
After a close 25-23 win in the first set, the Broncos dropped the second set to East Bay by a score of 27-25. That was the first time CPP had lost a
set to CSUEB on their home court in 13 consecutive sets, dating back to 2017. The Broncos rallied in the final two sets, cruising to a 25-13 win in the third and a 25-20 win in the fourth to seal the victory – the last point coming on Duke's 25
th kill of the afternoon.
With the 3-1 win over the Pioneers, the No. 25 Broncos improve to 19-6 on the season and 12-5 in conference. They remain tied for third place in the CCAA with San Francisco State.

th at 1:00 PM in Kellogg Arena. It will also be senior day, where the team will honor its two seniors in a ceremony before the game.
