REDLANDS, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos improved on several personal bests at the Redlands Invitational, hosted by the University of Redlands, Friday.
Vincent Sarino had the best finish for the Broncos, as he grabbed second place in the 1500 meter with a time of 3:58.10.
Jalen Jenkins had his personal best in the 800 meters for a fourth place finish with a time of 1:55.81. Sarino also improved on his personal best in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.33.
In the 400 meter hurdles,
Nnamdi Onwaeze placed fifth with a new personal best time of 55.80.
Kailen Smith placed fourth in the high jump as he cleared 6' 4.75". Right behind Smith was
Justin Cardoza, who sealed a height of 6' 2.75" for a fifth place finish.
Alex Spink finished seventh in the 3000 meter event with a new personal best time of 9:18.79. To close out the meet, Ion Strode placed third in the pole vault event, clearing a new personal best height of 15' 1".
The Broncos next meet is on Saturday, March 25
th at the Cougar Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos.
