POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona midfielder Marisa Salazar was to the All-West Region Third Team as announced by the United Soccer Coaches organization.
 
In her first year as a Bronco, Salazar was selected All-West Region Third Team for her performance in the 2022 season. Salazar started in 12 games, scoring three goals in her inaugural season including the game winning goal against Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 9^th. Salazar was also selected All-CCAA First Team.
 
The Broncos closed the 2022 season with an overall record of 6-9-3 and CCAA record of 5-4-2. CPP made a return to the CCAA Tournament where they fell in the first round to the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles.
