Ryan Fields,
Matteo Madrassi, and the 4x100 team of
Bryce Bushnell,
Lorenzo Boyd,
Joshua Johnson, and
Deandre Smith all broke school records over the three meet weekend.
At the West Coast Relays, Fields broke the Broncos school record in the 400 meter hurdles as he crossed with a time of 50.76 and is now leading the NCAA Div. II performance list in first place. Fields also grabbed a provisional mark in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 13.96 for a fifth place national ranking.
Nnamdi Onwaeze sealed a provisional mark in the 110 meter with a time of 14.06 and now stands seventh in the nation.
Kaelin Moore also nabbed a provisional mark at the West Coast Relays as he crossed the line in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.33 for a seventh place national ranking.
In the pole vault,
Matteo Madrassi broke the school record as he cleared a height 17' 7" at the West Coast Relays and is now ranked first in the nation.
After breaking the school record in the 4x100 last week, the 4x100 team of Bushnell, Boyd, Johnson, and Smith broke the record again with a time of 40.31 and is ranked seventh nationally.
Also at the West Coast Relays, the 4x400 team of
Jacob Tilford,
Camden Patterson, Moore, and Fields sealed a time of 3:11.74 for a sixth place national ranking.
At the Vince O'Boyle Track and Field Classic,
Dom Navarrette-Perez took second place in the discuss, throwing a distance of 50.30 meters.
Aaron May also grabbed second place, tossing 51.41m in the hammer throw. In the shot put,
Thomas Tuff had the best event finish for the Broncos as he threw 15.17m for a third place finish.
At the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, distance runner
Daniel Echeveste finished the 5000 meters with a time of 14:21.53 to seal a provisional mark and is ranked 16
th nationally.
The Broncos next meet is April 6
th – 7
th at the Stanislaus Multi Event held in Turlock.
