No. 21 Broncos Salvage Series Split At East Bay

HAYWARD, Calif. -- The No. 21 Cal Poly Pomona baseball team exploded for 20 runs in two games to sweep a Saturday doubleheader against Cal State East Bay, 5-0 and 15-2, at Chabot College in Hayward.

The Broncos rise to 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA while the Pioneers fall to 9-8 (3-4 CCAA).

Cal Poly Pomona returns home Tuesday to host its final non-conference game of the season, taking on Biola at Scolinos Field. First pitch is set for 5:00 pm. The Broncos will then welcome Cal State Monterey Bay to town for a four-game series in Pomona beginning Friday.

  • Head coach Randy Betten is now 365-222 in 12 seasons at Cal Poly Pomona, including 139-116 on the road and 255-162 in CCAA games.
