LONG BEACH, Calif. – After the Beach Opener,
Ryan Fields is ranked first nationally in the 110 meter hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles,
Matteo Madrassi is ranked first nationally in the pole vault, and the Broncos 4x100 meter relay team are also ranked first nationally.
Ryan Fields won the 110 meter hurdles event at the Beach Opener, making the provisional mark with a time of 14.17 for the top spot nationally. Fields is also ranked first nationally in the 400 meter hurdles as he crossed the line with the provisional mark time of 51.51.
Matteo Madrassi finished the pole vault with a height of 16' 8.75" and holds first place in the national rankings.
The Broncos 4x100 relay team of
Bryce Bushnell,
Lorenzo Boyd,
Joshua Johnson, and
Deandre Smith, also hold first place nationally as they crossed the line to win the event with a time of 40.92.
Bushnell closed the 100 meter with a time of 10.56 for a second place ranking nationally. Also ranked second nationally was the 4x400 meter relay team of
Jacob Tilford,
Leroy Crook,
Camden Patterson and Bushnell as they crossed the line for a time of 3:16:67.
In the high jump,
Justin Cardoza and
Kailen Smith both closed the event with a height of 6' 5" placing them tied for fourth place nationally.
Deandre Smith is ranked fourth nationally in the long jump as he leaped for a distance of 22' 10.5".
In the discus throw,
Aaron May is ranked third nationally as he threw for 158' 10".
The Broncos next meet is scheduled for March 10
th-11
th at the Ben Brown Invite in Fullerton.
