SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal Poly Pomona volleyball claimed its 11
th straight win on Friday afternoon, sweeping Cal State San Marcos 3-0 in convincing fashion. It was the Broncos' 10
th sweep of the season, and sixth since the start of conference play. The team remains atop the CCAA standings with a perfect 9-0 record in conference, and 15-1 overall.
The No. 6 ranked Broncos had one of their most dominant performances of the season against the Cougars, swinging at a season-high .420 clip, nearly 40 points higher than their next closest game this season. They registered 51 kills with a season-low nine attack errors, contributing to the team's .269 hitting percentage on the season – which ranks 14
th highest in the nation.
Charlotte Koerber led the attack for CPP with 14 kills, her most of the season while also owning an attack percentage of .520 in the match.
Samantha Campion, a double-double machine, followed suit with 11 kills of her own and 14 digs, while swinging at .526 clip.
Sarah Ybarra was third Bronco to deliver double-digit kills, as she continues to lead the team with 226 (4.11 per set) on the season.
The Green & Gold controlled the entire match, winning by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-13. CPP's 63.0 points in the match was also their highest in a three-set match this season.
Senior setter
Caitie Mueller racked up 41 more assists on Friday, bringing her CPP career total to 2,718. With 27 more, she will move into sixth all-time in school history.
