Bronco Victory Sets Record for the Best Start in Program History

DENVER, Color. - The nationally ranked Cal Poly Pomona Broncos remain undefeated through their 3-0 win against MSU Denver.   

The Broncos started off strong and just 8 minutes into the match, Vanessa Cruz scored in a penalty kick. In the first half, the Broncos had multiple shot attempts, but the score remained 1-0.

With just 10 minutes remaining in the match, the Broncos added 2 more goals to the score. At the 80:38 mark, Tara Oper scored with an assist from Lavinia Vaipulu. Less than a minute later, Cruz scored her second goal of the match at the 81:24 mark. The Roadrunners attempted to score on the Broncos, but Bella Hara saved all 4 attempts from entering the goal. 

Through this victory, the Broncos set the record for the best start in program history. Their best start previously was seen in 1997 when the Broncos were 5-0-1. The Broncos are now 6-0-0.

The Broncos head to San Bernardino Saturday, September 28th for their final non-conference match. The match will begin at 3 pm PT and can be viewed on the FLOFC Network.
