POMONA, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer opened its 2026 season in commanding fashion Thursday, defeating Minot State 4-0 at Kellogg Stadium in front of 208 fans.
The Broncos controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Beavers 28-1 and placing 15 attempts on goal. CPP also held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks and maintained 60 percent of the possession.
Ashlyn Jones supplied the season's first goal in the 26th minute, finishing a feed from Kailey Powers to give the Broncos a 1-0 halftime lead. CPP then broke the match open with three second-half goals.
Carly Radke doubled the advantage in the 54th minute, scoring off Powers' second assist of the evening. Just over two minutes later, Powers moved from facilitator to finisher, converting an assist from Allison Bravo for her first goal of the season and a 3-0 lead.
Morgan Huff capped the scoring in the 71st minute, finding the back of the net on a pass from Bailey Guerrero. Jones, Radke, Powers and Huff each recorded their first goal of the campaign, while Powers led the attack with four points on one goal and two assists.
Parker LaMont earned the shutout victory in goal, stopping Minot State's lone shot on target in the 89th minute. The Broncos' depth was also on display, with 25 players seeing action and 14 recording at least one shot.

Cal Poly Pomona will continue non-conference play Saturday against Biola at Kellogg Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., with the Broncos honoring eight seniors before the match.
