Broncos Remain Unbeaten With Scoreless Draw Against Point Loma

POMONA, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer remained unbeaten and recorded its second consecutive shutout in a 0-0 draw against Point Loma at Kellogg Stadium.

The Broncos moved to 3-0-1 overall after controlling the attack. CPP outshot the Sea Lions 14-4, placed five attempts on target and earned a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks. The Broncos held 54% of possession.

Carly Radke led the offensive effort with a match-high five shots, including two on goal. Her first on-target attempt came in the 30th minute, and she forced another save from PLNU early in the second half. Radke applied pressure late, producing three shots over the final 23 minutes.

Angelina Santana added two shots on goal, testing PLNU's defense in the 49th and 58th minutes. Charlie Gallardo also placed an attempt on target in the 28th minute, while Braedyn Kincade recorded two shots. Ashlyn Jones, Jenna Santos, Allison Bravo and Morgan Huff each contributed an attempt as CPP's attack featured eight different shooters.

Goalkeeper and CCAA Defensive Player of the Week Parker LaMont secured her second straight clean sheet. She made two saves, denying the Sea Lions in both the 17th and 67th minutes. LaMont and the Broncos' back line of Holly Wilbanks, Georgia Rink, Mikaela Marr and Santana held Point Loma to only four total attempts.

CPP increased its pressure after halftime with nine shots and five corner kicks but could not find the winner, settling for its first draw of the season.
