Justin Ellerbee earned an automatic qualifier into nationals Saturday as the Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team competed at the Ben Brown Invitational on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.

The Broncos swept the top five spots in the pole vault Saturday but it was Ellerbee at the top of the charts with a 17-0 mark. That height earned the senior from Rocklin a spot at the NCAA Division II National Championships to be held May 21 through May 23 in Michigan. It'll mark the third-consecutive year that Ellerbee competes at nationals.
