Justin Ellerbee earned a nod as the Cal Poly Pomona Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 24-30.

With his record-setting, national championship senior season concluded, Ellerbee earned yet another accolade for his efforts in competition and in the classroom. Ellerbee was named an NCAA Division II Academic All-American for the second-consecutive season.

Across all sports and seasons, Ellerbee's second Academic All-American nod marks the 16th time a Bronco has been so honored. He joins the likes of Joann Howard, Gayle Deisinger, and Onnaca Heron as the only CPP student-athletes who have won the award multiple times.

Earlier in June, Ellerbee was also named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. That marked the first time a male athlete in the conference has earned both the Athlete and Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards.

A senior Aerospace Engineering major from Rocklin, Ellerbee has maintained a grade point average of 3.77 while earning Academic All-American recognition along the way. He is also the first male student-athlete from Cal Poly Pomona to receive the CCAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition.
