POMONA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team returns home to host San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay this week.
Resuming California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play, the Broncos are now 5-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in league action. On Friday, CPP takes on the Gators of SFSU at 4:30 p.m. at Kellogg Field. Then on Sunday, the Broncos host the Otters of CSUMB with an 11:30 a.m. kickoff.
The first 100 CPP students to arrive on Sunday will receive a free tumbler courtesy of University Housing Services.
Through the first weekend of conference play, CPP sits in the middle of the CCAA standings at 1-1. The Broncos are receiving votes just outside the top 25 in the NCAA Division II national poll.

Sergi Monso has earned BroncoAthletics.com Athlete of the Week honors consecutive times after scoring six goals in the last four games. Monso is tied atop the goals leaderboard in the CCAA with Cal State Dominguez Hills' Joey Chica. Three of Monso's scores have been game winners.

Jordan Jackmon, who has collected the second-highest assists total with three so far in 2016.
Friday's opponent – San Francisco State – is off to a strong start this year. The Gators are 5-1 overall and 2-0 in CCAA play. SFSU features the second-best offense in the league (12 goals scored) and the second-best defense in the league (three goals allowed).
At this point in the season, Cal State Monterey Bay owns a 2-2-1 overall mark while going 0-1-1 through the first two matches of league play.
The Broncos' defense has held tough through the early portion of the 2016 campaign. CPP has allowed just five goals and the squad has totaled five shutouts, including the 1-0 victory on Sunday at Humboldt State.

- With Parking Structure 2 now open, there are two options for parking at home soccer matches. Lot B and Parking Structure 2 are the best places to park but be sure that you do not park in spots marked for residents. The Google address for Parking Structure 2 is 3851 W. Temple Ave., Pomona, CA and the Broncos' facility map can be found here. Parking permits cost $7/day Monday through Friday and $4/day Saturday and Sunday.
