POMONA, Calif. – Moving up to No. 3 in the conference standings, the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team will travel to play Cal State San Bernardino and Chico State this week.

First, CPP takes on the Coyotes of CSUSB on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Then on Sunday, the Broncos will challenge the Wildcats at 11:30 a.m. in Chico.

The Broncos are 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Wednesday's opponent – San Bernardino – is 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in league action. Chico holds marks of 4-4-1 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

With two goals on Sunday against Cal State Monterey Bay, Broncos' sophomore Sydney Yates is now up to No. 7 on the CCAA leaderboard with three scores this season. The Vista native has put plenty of pressure on opposing defenses as she ranks third in the league for shots with 22.

CPP is undefeated through its last three matches, having topped Humboldt State and CSUMB by 2-1 margins with a 0-0 draw against San Francisco State in between the two other results.

Leading the Broncos in minutes played in 2016 are goalkeeper Ricki Ives along with a pair of tough defenders, Natalie Di Angelo and Emily Sanchez. All three have played in at least 680 minutes.

With one-third of the CCAA regular season complete, the Broncos are poised to continue their climb up the conference standings.
