KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team continues their epic postseason run as they prepare for the semifinal round of the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships at the Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, MO.
The Broncos (17-5-1) will face off against third-ranked University of Charleston (WV) on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. EST.

Tournament Recap: The Broncos have had no easy road thus far with all four opponents, including Charleston, ranked in the United Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
CPP opened up the West Region Tournament with a 2-1 win over No. 11 Simon Fraser, knocking the Clan out of the tournament for the second straight season.
After that, the Broncos advanced to the West Region Championship match besting No. 23 Point Loma Nazarene University 1-0 on their home field.
In the West Region Title game, the Broncos shutout the top-ranked offense in the nation in No. 2 Cal Baptist, winning 1-0 once again, claiming their second regional title in three years.
Finally, after knocking off the second-ranked team, the Broncos defeated the No. 1-ranked team in Division II in Midwestern State, falling behind twice before tying the game at 2-2 and advancing on penalty kicks 6-5.
By the Numbers: Sergi Monso leads the Broncos with 21 total goals scored this season, ranking third overall in Division II. His eight game-winning goals are tied for second in the nation, while his 49 points are also second in Division II.
Jason Trejos has been a wall between the posts this tournament, tallying 17 total saves while giving up only three goals in four matches. He has bumped his season total in saves to 57.
The Broncos have been selective in their shot attempts, totaling 32 total shots with 14 landing on target. As for their opponents, despite launching a total of 74 shots, CPP's defense has made it relatively hard to get a shot on goal as their opponents have finished with only 20 shots on target.
With a record of 17-5-1, the Broncos are only one win away from setting a program record in total wins in a season.
Tournament History for CPP: Despite a relatively young history in the NCAA tournament, the Broncos are no strangers to the big stage in recent history. CPP made its first appearance in the tournament back in 1998 but recently, have become a regular in the field.
During the 2015 season, the Broncos made their first run at a national title, finishing as the national runner-up in a loss to top-ranked Pfeiffer University.
The Broncos made their next appearance the following season, advancing to the NCAA West Region Title game in 2016, losing to fellow CCAA member UC San Diego. This season marks the fourth appearance in program history, the third consecutive and second final four appearance.
Tournament History for UC: The Golden Eagles are in a usual spot for themselves, advancing to their fourth straight final four appearance. UC has made seven total NCAA tournament appearance in the program's 51-year history, making their first showing during the 1999 season.
During the 2015 season, UC fell to Pfeiffer University in the final four round prior to CPP facing them in the title game.
In 2016, Charleston advanced past the final four, losing to Wingate University 2-0 in the National Championship match, missing out on their quest for their first national title.
