POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team will host week two of California Collegiate Athletic Association matches this weekend as they welcome in Cal State East Bay on Friday and Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday.

rd-ranked Broncos (5-2-0, 1-1-0 CCAA) picked up their first CCAA win of the season, downing Cal State Los Angeles 2-1 to split the weekend of play.
Sergi Monso scored twice for CPP with both assists coming from
Jimmie Villalobos.
By the Numbers: Monso has been the top scorer for not only CPP but the conference overall. His nine goals rank first while he is tied for first in assists with five. The Broncos hold the second highest goals per match average at 2.86 and are tied for the highest shot total at 111.
Pioneers Report: East Bay has had a bumpy start to the 2017 campaign, entering the weekend with an overall record of 2-4-1 while going 0-2 in their first weekend of CCAA matches. The Pioneers have totaled nine goals this season while giving up 11 for a scoring margin of -.28. They rank third to last in the conference in shots taken, tallying only 67 so far this season. The Broncos hold an 8-2-4 series lead over East Bay who has not defeated CPP since they joined the CCAA back in the 2007-08 academic year.
Otters Report: Sitting at the bottom of the CCAA is CSU Monterey Bay with a record of 1-5-0 and 0-2-0 in conference action. The Otters sit on a four-game losing skid, averaging one goal a game with a total of six on the year. CSUMB has had strong opportunities this season, recording 37 shots on goal (.544) but haven't been able to finish.
