POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes not only performed well in their sport during the fall season, they excelled in the classroom as well with 33 student-athletes named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Team.
CPP's 33 athletes ranks as the second most in the CCAA behind Cal State East Bay who tallied 36 athletes on the list.
In order to earn CCAA All-Academic team honors, a student-athlete must be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, and own a 3.3 cumulative GPA or better while competing in a Conference-sponsored sport in that season. The CCAA Fall All-Academic Team consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
A total of 314 men and women from across the CCAA's 13 member institutions have been honored for their efforts in the classroom for the fall of 2017.
