OFFICIAL RESULTS
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Elizabeth Hernandez narrowly missed setting a personal-best in the six-kilometer event by just under seven seconds, but with a time of 22:26.3, she took home 18th place and led the Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country team to a seventh place finish at the 2018 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Cross Country Championships hosted by Cal State L.A. on Saturday at the Cal State San Bernardino campus course.
Chico State captured the CCAA title for the 11th straight season, garnering 24 points with its top four runners placing in the Top 5. The Wildcats' Karlie Garcia won the race by 28 seconds, crossing the line at 20:58.1, ahead of runner-up and teammate Alexandria Tucker.
Hernandez was followed by

Sierra Boyd (23:12.0) in 39th,
Samantha Aguilar (23:22.2) in 49th,
Jennifer Osorio-Melendez (23:41.0) in 57th,
Luz Garcia (24:01.1) in 64th,
Kate Manzke (24:37.1) in 78th,
Taylor Otto (24:57.2) in 84th and
Amy Kohlbrenner (25:25.6) in 90th.
Cal Poly Pomona will now set its sights on the 2018 NCAA Division II West Regional in Billings, Mont. in two weeks (Nov. 17th).
