POMONA - The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team charged past Cal State Dominguez Hills on Tuesday night, winning 80-67 in the quarterfinal round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament at Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dominguez Hills strung together points early before the Broncos took their first lead of the game just over midway through the first quarter after a layup by
Dominique Dotson made it 13-12.
- The Broncos built an 11-point led in the second quarter with a 9-0 run before setting on a 36-29 advantage at the halftime break.
- CPP finished shooting 46 percent on the night, including a 6-of-10 mark from three-point range.
- The Broncos won the rebounding battle 46-35 and finished with 11 points off turnovers and 10 second-chance points.
- In the third quarter, the Broncos pulled ahead using a 15-6 run to extend their lead to 55-42.
- The Toros climbed back to within seven points of the Broncos but couldn't hold off their offense as the Broncos held on to win.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Dotson led the Broncos with a career night, scoring a high 25 points, the most she has ever scored as a Bronco. She added six rebound and three steals overall.
- Following her was
Chelsea Waddy-Blow with 14 points and
Casey McWilliam with 12 points.

Priscilla Brooks tallied a team-high 12 rebounds while adding eight points.
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
- The Broncos advance to the semifinal round of the CCAA tournament for the second year in a row which will be held at Kellogg Arena.
- CPP tallied three wins over the Toros this season while the Toros haven't picked up a win at Kellogg Arena in three seasons.

The Broncos will await the winner Humboldt State versus Cal State East Bay to determine their opponent in the semifinal round of the CCAA tournament held at Kellogg Arena on Friday, Mar. 2.
