Last Week: The Broncos (6-4, 3-1) won the series against Cal State San Marcos 3-1. The Broncos won game one 5-1, game two 2-1, game four 15-1, and lost game three 6-5. Starting pitching gave up five runs in 25.1 innings as
Ryan Alsworth tossed seven shutout innings in game two while striking out eight.
Jacob Bernardy went 8- 12 while driving in five runs in the series and
Bryce Graddy went 7-13 while driving in four runs in the series.
By the Numbers: As a team, their batting average is .310 which is second in the CCAA. As a pitching staff, their ERA is 3.41 which is third in the conference. The offense seems to be finding their way after a slow start while the strength of the team is starting pitching which only allows 2.12 earned runs a game. Bernardy leads the team with a .394 batting average while Alsworth leads the team with a .56 ERA.
Triton Report: San Diego (9-4, 5-3) is trying to repeat as CCAA champions. As a team they are batting .308 which is third in the conference. They are the most dangerous team when it comes to the long ball after hitting 14 homeruns which leads the conference. As a team, they posted a 3.86 ERA. Alex Elipulos leads the CCAA with seven homeruns and in hits and runs batted in with 23 a piece.
