SAN RAMON, Calif. -
A total of 31 Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom as a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Spring All-Academic Team.

The seasonal academic awards, which were instituted in 2014, showcase individuals who are a sophomore in athletic standing or higher who maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average while competing in a conference-sponsored sport.

Of the Broncos' honorees, 14 are from the women's track and field team, 10 are from baseball, and seven are from men's track and field. For Kohto Hasegawa and Alex Kline of the baseball team, this marked the third-consecutive year that they received Spring All-Academic recognition.

Within the men's track and field program, Paul Bentz, Parker Johnson, and Nolan O'Brien collected the second Spring All-Academic accolades of their career. Kalin Tomlinson, Taylor Otto, and Antonella Curinga of women's track and field received Spring All-Academic honors for the second time as well.

All told, a grand total of 70 CPP student-athletes earned seasonal academic recognition during the 2017-18 school year, including 33 in the fall and six in winter.
