OFFICIAL RESULTS
REDLANDS, Calif. -- Four Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country student-athletes all crossed the finish line within five seconds of each other, taking up four of the Top 8 places to lead the Broncos to the Redlands Invitational team title Saturday morning in Redlands. It is the first team title for CPP since taking the top spot at the UC Irvine Invitational on Sept. 16, 2017.
Elizabeth Hernandez was the Broncos top finisher, placing fourth out of 69 participants with a 4.5-kilometer time of 17:07.6.
Anahi Betart finished strong down the stretch to snatch fifth place in a time of 17:09.1 while
Luz Garcia took sixth at 17:09.7.
Samantha Aguilar brought home eighth place, running the course in 17:12.9, followed by
Elli Kliewer, who rounded out the team scoring for CPP with a 12th place finish in a time of 17:25.2.
Jennifer Osorio-Melendez placed in 20th, clocking in at 18:09.8,
Sierra Boyd came in 25th at 18:31.8, and
Taylor Otto finished in 29th with a time of 18:53.8.
Cal Poly Pomona, which entered the week as the 18th-ranked team in Division II, will return to action on Sept. 22nd at the Coyote Challenge in San Bernardino.
