POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona head women's soccer coach Jay Mason has announced the hiring of Emilee Tominovich as assistant coach of the program ahead of the upcoming 2023-2022 season.
Tominovich joins the Broncos team after her time at Long Beach State University as the women's soccer Director of Operations last season. Concurrently, she has spent her time as the Federacion Puertorriqueña de Fútbol U15 assistant coach (2022-present), was head coach of the Beach Futbol Club and ECNL Staff Coach (2020-present), and Cal South Pro + ODP head coach (2019-present).
"We are really excited about the addition of Emilee Tominovich to our program here at CPP" said coach Mason. "Her experience at the international, college and club level will bring a wealth of knowledge into our developing team. Her understanding of the game and intrinsic desire to improve will provide our young women with a great mentor and leader to model themselves through as we chase CCAA Championships."
From February 2020 to June 2022, she was the assistant women's soccer coach at NAIA Marymount California University. Tominovich also has experience coaching at the junior college level as she was an assistant coach at Long Beach City College (2019-2020) and the interim head women's soccer coach at Cerritos College (2020-2021).
"I want to thank Jay and Cal Poly Pomona Soccer for giving me this exciting opportunity to join their program" coach Tominovich said. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a talented group of student-athletes, and collaborate with a top coaching staff in a conference as strong as the CCAA. I cannot wait to start working with the players and be a part of the Broncos family!"
Tominovich earned her Masters of Arts in Kinesiology from Cal State Long Beach and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the Catholic University of America. She also holds US Soccer Federation National "B" License, and was a 30 under 30 recipient for the 2022-23 class.
