LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Broncos made several provisional marks ranking them on the NCAA Div. II performance list after the Stanislaus State Multi Event and the Triton Invitational.
Ryan Fields placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a provisional mark time of 14.04.
Alessio Sommacal also made the provisional mark in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.29 and is now ranked 20
th in the NCAA Div. II performance list.
In the 200 meter dash,
Lorenzo Boyd and
Bryce Bushnell finished back to back in fourth and fifth place. Boyd sealed a time of 21.53 while Bushnell crossed the line at 21.56.
Camden Patterson placed fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.76. In the 800 meter,
David Flores placed ninth with a time of 1:54.67. In the 1500 meter,
Chris Razo crossed the line in 4:03.84.
In the high jump
Kailen Smith made the provisional mark clearing 2.06 meters ranking him 15
th in the nation.
Deandre Smith reached 7.00 meters in the long jump while
Justin Cardoza jumped 6.77 meters.
Ian Strode placed fifth at the event in the pole vault, clearing 4.55 meters as
Gavin Hanes reached 4.40 meters.
In throws,
Thomas Tuff had the best finish for the Broncos placing seventh in the shot put with a toss of 15.73 meters. Placing seventh in the discus was
Aaron May who reached 49.63 meters.
At the Stanislaus State Multi Event on Thursday and Friday,
Gerwin de Haan scored a total of 6422 points to make the provisional mark ranking him eighth nationally and now leads the CCAA in the event.
Gabriel Zapata collected a total of 6367 points improving his previous personal best by 474 points making the provisional mark ranking him second in the CCAA and 10
th in the national rankings.
This weekend the Broncos will be at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Multi in Azusa on April 13
th through April 15
th.
