Three Broncos Compete in Claremont Saturday

Pomona Pitzer Invite Results

CLAREMONT, Calif. -
In the final meet before the postseason starts next weekend, three members of the nationally-ranked Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team competed Saturday at the Pomona Pitzer Invite.

Leading the Broncos' group was freshman Adrian Diaz, who crossed the line in 25:51.0. For the Duarte native, it represented the seventh-best time in Saturday's 8,000-meter race.

The second CPP runner to finish was fellow first-year Thomas Backman at 26:15.8. Brittan Reed also competed in Saturday's race, earning a mark of 26:45.1. 

Up next, CPP will host the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario. Free bus transportation will be provided for Broncos' students, faculty and staff with signups at broncoathletics.com/bus.
