NCAA D-II National Championships: Schedule

BRADENTON, Fla. - Lizette Huerta of the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team posted her personal-best time in the 1,500-meter prelim race at the NCAA Division II National Championship on Thursday. With her finish, she secured herself a spot in the finals on Saturday.
Her time of 4:28.03 earned her fifth place overall heading into finals and third place all-time in the CPP record books. She topped her own record of 4:28.05, which was set at the Cal State LA Invitational in March.
Huerta will be one of 12 runners featured in the finals on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. Pacific (5:45 p.m. Eastern). The Track and Field Championships are held at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Saturday will also feature the other four Broncos' competitions.
Tiffany Tate's javelin event is set for 11:25 a.m. Pacific (2:25 p.m. Eastern), Rodger Mantor is set to go just five minutes later at 11:30 a.m. (2:30 p.m.), then the duo of Mark Huizar and Francisco Gomez will be running in the 5,000 meter run at 5:05 p.m. Pacific (8:05 p.m. Eastern).
