UC Riverside Invite Results
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Led by a strong performance from senior
Symone Booker, the Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country team placed third out of 20 teams at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning.
Competing in the 5,000-meter course, the Broncos totaled 94 points to only trail Arkansas' 28 points and Biola's 63. Booker finished 14th individually, crossing the line in 18:09.1.
Following soon after was
Calene Morris, who posted an 18:14.9 to finish 18th. Junior
Lorraine Fernandez was the No. 3 finisher for CPP, taking 24th with a time of 18:25.1.
Fellow third-year
Casey Monoszlay, a Chino Hills native, placed 32nd individually as she crossed the line in 18:34.2. Rounding out the top five for the Broncos was freshman
Elizabeth Hernandez, who raced to a time of 18:43.1 to place 37th out of the 250 runners competing.
CPP returns to action Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Stanford Invitational.
