Stueve Hits Provisional Mark as Broncos Take Second at Relays

CLAREMONT – The Cal Poly Pomona women's track & field team took second overall at the Rossi Relays on Saturday, led by pole vaulter Hannah Stueve.
 
Stueve took first overall in the pole vault, hitting an NCAA provisional mark at 3.65 meters.
 
Also taking first overall in their event was Jenna Gonzales who throw the discus a mark of 39.04 meters. She also finished fourth overall in the shot put with while Anela Miki-Han too second in the event with a toss of 12.38 meters.
 
Diamond Scott took sixth in the javelin throw, with a mark of 33.24 while Gabriel Stanford finished fifth in the hammer throw with an effort of 43.02 meters.
 
Closing out the field events was Charisma Byrd who took third overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.57 meters.
 
On the track, Alisha Greenlaw led the Broncos in the 100-meter hurldes with a time of 15.02 seconds, taking third overall on the day.
 
Both of the Broncos' distance medley teams performed well, taking third and fifth overall with times of 12:25.69 and 12:36.83 respectively.
 
CPP returns to action next Saturday, Mar. 2, as they travel north to compete in the Kim Duyst Invitational hosted by Stanislaus State.
