REDLANDS – The Cal Poly Pomona women's track & field team finished up competition at the Redlands Invitational on Friday, winning two events and finishing top five in two other.
Samantha Aguilar took first overall in the in the 1,500-meter run, setting a personal best with a time of 4:53.55.
Also claiming first-place and setting a new personal best was Jenna Gonzalez who tossed the discus 42.95 meters. She also finished fifth overall in the shot put with a throw of 11.24 meters.
Gabriela Stanford took fourth overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.10 meters.
Hannah Stueve took fourth overall in the pole vault as well, finishing with a height of 3.45 meters.
CPP's next meet will take place on Thursday, March 22 as they compete at the Aztec Invitational and again on Saturday, March 24 as they travel to the Point Loma Invitational.
