Greenlaw, Williams Lead Broncos in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – The Cal Poly Pomona track & field team completed a busy weekend, competing at the San Diego State Mult Events before participating in the Point Loma Inviational on Saturday.
 
At Point Loma, Ryanne Napoleon took third overall in the 100-meter race with a time of 12.31 followed by Alisha Greenlaw in sixth. Greenlaw also took first overall in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 14.56.
 
Elizabeth Hernandez finished second overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:27.17 while the women's 4x100-meter relay team also finished second overall.
 
In the field events, Imani Williams finished with the top performance in the long jump, hitting a distance of 5.50 meters to claim first overall.
 
At the Aztec open, the Broncos competed in the heptathlon with Williams claiming fourth with a total of 3,887 points. Coming in sxith-place was Suyan Carcedo with 3,749 points while Charisma Byrd took eighth with a point total of 3,688.
 
The Broncos will head north next weekend as they prepare for the San Francisco State Distance Carnival held on Friday, March 30.
