IRVINE – The Cal Poly Pomona women's track & field team finished their final race of the regular season, competing at the Steve Scott Invitational on the campus of UC Irvine.
Imani Williams led the Broncos in the field events, hitting a provisional mark in the long jump, jumping a distance of 5.88 meters, setting a new personal best.
Coming in seventh was
Charisma Byrd in the high jump, hitting a mark of 1.58 meters.
Hannah Stueve finished 13
th overall in the pole vault with a height of 3.35 meters while
Jenna Gonzales finished 14
th in both the shot put and the discus throw with distances of 12.31 meters and 40.64 meters.
On the track,
Arianna Cooper and
Giselle Burgos finished 14
th and 21
st respectively in the 400-meter hurdles while
Alisha Greenlaw took 22
nd in the 100-meter hurdles.
The Broncos finished with four athletes in the top 25 of the 400-meter run as Byrd took 17
th (59.14),
Kalin Tomlinson finished 21
st (1:00.60),
Sarah Reyna in 23
rd (1:01.10), and
J'ley Fagalar finished 25
th (1:02.11).
CPP will prepare for the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship meet, set to begin on Thursday, May 3.
