MANKATO, Minn. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos
Arissa Hatcher,
Tianna Jardstrom,
Alondra Arias, and
Angela Arellano secured a provisional mark in their first race in the distance medley relay this season at the Minnesota State Massive Meet No. 1.
In the first day of their two-day trip in Minnesota,
Yuna Queniat won the 60 meter event improving on her personal best with a time of 7.61, ranking her 21
st in the nation.
Ayana Fields raced in the 200 meter and improved on her personal best in the 400 meter placing her No. 3 in the nation.
The distance medley relay team of Hatcher, Jardstrom, Arias, and Arellano are the latest to be added to the list of 12 provisional marks made this season by CPP, as they finished the race with a time of 12:04.59, ranking them 19
th in the nation.
Jade DeSouza placed second in the women's triple jump, leaping for a distance of 12.39 meters.
Keiana Hamm competed in the high jump, sealing a height of 1.62 meters. In the long jump,
Kelsey Ehinlaiye placed 10
th with a distance of 5.54 meters.
In the shot put,
Shona Christensen reached 12.63 meters with her toss.
Keiana Turner threw 16.12 meters in the weighted throw.
The competition continues in Mankato, Minnesota tomorrow as the Broncos compete in the Minnesota State Massive Meet No. 2.
