More Improvements For Broncos Ahead of NCAA Selections

MANKATO, Minn. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos made the most of their last meet, improving on three provisional marks at the Minnesota State Massive Meet No. 2, to close the season before NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Ayana Fields still holds first place nationally in the 200 meters and at the Minnesota State Massive Meet No. 2, she improved on her personal best in the 400 meter with a time of 53.92 for fourth place in the nation. Yuna Queniat also improved her provisional mark in the 200 meters with a time, of 24.53 for an 18th place spot nationally.
 
A different 4x400 relay team of Jaelyn Thomas, Arissa Hatcher, Quieniat, and Fields crossed the line with a time of 3:44.76 to place them 7th in the nation.
 
At the close of competition for the Broncos indoor track and field team, CPP holds a total of 13 provisional marks. Three of them are top ten in the nation.
 
The Broncos await confirmation before their appearance at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships that take place on March 10th and 11th in Virginia Beach Florida.
