GOLDEN, Colo. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos traveled to Colorado where they added a provisional mark in the long jump and high jump at the Mines Winter Classic and Multi.
The Broncos began the meet Friday with the long jump event.
Kelsey Ehinlaiye leaped to her personal best of 5.86m sealing a provisional mark.
Natalie Lin improved her personal best as well, jumping for a distance of 5.50m. Also jumping for the Broncos was
Nyah Paulding who collected a 5.43m jump.
The pole vault and shot put closed the first day of competition for CPP.
Skyy Vang cleared a height of 10' 0.5" and
Keiana Turner tossed the shot put for a distance of 38' 10.25".
Turner went on to compete in the weighted throw Saturday, sealing a fifth-place event finish with a distance of 53' 5.75". Paulding also made her return to the meet as she sealed a distance of 37' 9.25"in the triple jump. Lin also competed in the triple jump, collecting a distance of 37' 1.25".
Closing out jumps for the Broncos was
Keiana Hamm who collected her first provisional mark on the season with a height of 5' 5.75" in the high jump event.
In the only dash event of the meet for CPP, both Ehinlaiye and
Shyanne Carrigan improved on their bests in the 60m dash. Ehinlaiye finished fourth with a time of 7.83 and Carrigan crossed the line with a time of 7.86.
After this meet, the Broncos added two more provisional marks and now hold 11 provisional marks this season.
The next meet for the Broncos will be on Feb. 10th when travel to Mankato, MN to compete in the Mankanto Invitational.
