WALNUT, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona 4x400 relay team of
Jaelyn Thomas,
Ari Milton,
Yuna Queniat and
Ayana Fields broke the 39 year old school record at the Mt. SAC Relays, Friday.
With a time of 3:42.21, the 4x400 relay team broke the previous record of 3:44.98 which was made in 1984. The Broncos stand in sixth on the NCAA Div. II performance list.
The Broncos were also competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Multi hosted by Azusa Pacific Friday and Saturday.
In the 200 meter race, Fields grabbed a provisional mark of 23.05, just .64 seconds from breaking the school record in the event. Queniat also grabbed a provisional mark finishing with a time of 24.33.
Susie Folwer sealed a provisional mark in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.21. In the high jump,
Keiana Hamm cleared 5' 5.75" for fourth place in the event.
Keiana Turner hit a new personal best in the hammer throw as she tossed 51.98 meters.
The Broncos next and final meet before the CCAA Track and Field Championships is on April 28
th – 29
th at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine.
