Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Freshman outside hitter Deanna Blaine helped the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team post a 2-1 record last week at the Seattle Pacific Invitational. A La Habra Heights native, Blaine proved to be the Broncos' only six-rotation player in the three matches in Seattle.

She collected 31 kills and added six service aces to help the offense. Defensively, she delivered 33 digs and added five blocks. Blaine and the Broncos will return to action Friday with a 7 p.m. home match against Chico State.
