The Broncos began their California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play this weekend and earned two wins in the process, defeating Cal State East Bay 76-60, and Cal State Monterey Bay 78-61.
On Friday, Ashley Lovett turned in her first double-double of the season as a 7-for-13 performance from the field gave her 17 points and three offensive and seven defensive rebounds brought her up to 10 boards.
Saturday saw three Bronco players gain double digit points, with Ariel Marsh and Lovett leading the way with 18 apiece. Tyler Woods also reached double figures with 13 points of her own.
Lovett's performance on Saturday was a flawless 8-for-8 from the field, as well as two free throws.
She totaled 35 points, going .714 (15-for-21) from the field. She also added 14 rebounds and five assists.
