As he has done all season, Max Bethell had another terrific outing on the mound for the Broncos this weekend. The senior co-captain helped the Green and Gold in their 6-0 victory over the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. 

Bethell threw for eight scoreless innings in the contest, allowing a mere three hits. The Garden Grove native retired his first 12 consecutive batters faced. He recorded one strikeout and one walk in the game while limiting opposing batters to a .103 average. 

Bethell improved his season record to 7-4 while helping the Broncos to clinch a first place spot in the CCAA South Division heading into playoffs. CPP is now 31-14 on the season, complete with a 23-10 record in conference play.
