By: Aaron Salazar POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team will complete their regular season schedule with two games this week at Kellogg Field.
The third-place Broncos enter the week with a 6-2-2 record in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play. They own an overall record of 9-2-3 on the season, good enough for third in the
West Region.
On Thursday, the Green and Gold take on the Humboldt State Jacks at 3 p.m. at Kellogg Field. The Jacks enter the contest with a 0-8-2 record in CCAA play en route to a 1-11-2 record on the year.
This will be the only time that the two teams compete this year. Last season, CPP secured a 2-1 victory at College Creek Field in Arcata.
After Thursday's game, the Broncos will host the Sonoma State Seawolves on Saturday at 2 p.m. SSU will head to Kellogg Field after a matchup with the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes on Thursday. Their record currently sits at 5-4-1 in CCAA play with an overall tally of 9-5-2.
This is the only matchup of the season for these two teams, but the Green and Gold will be out to avenge their lone loss of the 2014 season. SSU defeated the then No. 8 Broncos 2-1 and ended the Broncos' 16-game undefeated streak.

Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the game falling on Halloween as a costume contest will be held at halftime, the winner of which will receive a $50 gift card redeemable on Cal Poly Pomona's campus.
Upon the completion of the regular season, CPP will host the CCAA Soccer Championships at Kellogg Field.
Serving as the HostCal Poly Pomona will serve as the hosts of the CCAA Soccer Championships coming up in early November. The conference postseason for women's soccer and men's soccer includes the top six teams, with first-round matches between the numbers 3, 4, 5 and 6 seeds to be played at campus sites on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The winners of the first-round matches will face the top two seeds at Kellogg Field at Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, Nov. 6 at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Championship contests will be played on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Beyond the CCAA ChampionshipsOnce the conference postseason wraps up, the NCAA will unveil its tournament field on Monday, Nov. 9. The top six teams from the West Region will advance and the most recent rankings put CPP at No. 3.
