SAN MARCOS, Calif. – With a portion of the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team competing Saturday at the Mangrum Invitational, the Broncos raced well at the middle distance and several other events.

Nine Broncos competed in the 1,500-meter run Saturday and
Ashli Baddorf proved to be the top finisher for CPP, posting a time of 4:44.04 to place eighth. Baddorf, a junior from Azusa, actually transferred from Cal State San Marcos and Saturday represented a chance to compete at her former school.

Senior
Erin Zwinger, who ranks ninth nationally for the heptathlon, had an opportunity to compete close to home Saturday as she is a Poway native. In the 100-meter hurdles, she crossed the line in 16.15. Zwinger placed ninth in the shot put, posting a mark of 35-1.

Olivia Lowe, a junior from Ladera Ranch, raced well in the 800-meter event as she tallied a time of 2:22.38 to finish 13th overall.

The Broncos have a busy week coming up with action in Walnut and Azusa. Multi events and Bryan Clay Invite will be hosted by Azusa Pacific while the Mt. SAC Relays will take place at Hilmer Lodge Stadium down the street from Cal Poly Pomona.
