LOS ANGELES -Â On the second day of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships hosted by Cal State LA, the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team had another All-CCAA honoree.Â
With a third-place finish in the discus and distance of 44.93 meters thrown,
Nina Pritchett locked in her spot on the All-CCAA team. Also competing in the discus was
Tiffany Tate.Â
The CPP 4x100 relay team of
Marcela Desir,
Sandra Marquez,
Kalin Tomlinson, and
Kendahl Gaines finished seventh overall with a time of 48.80. Finishing sixth overall in the 1,500 meter run was Bronco senior
Lizette Huerta with a time of 4:45.56. Teammate Cassey Monoszlay came in just one spot behind Huerta at No. 7.Â
In the 400-meter dash,
Sandra Marquez led the Green and Gold with a time of 57.84. Gaines finished a few spots behind her with a time of 59.50.
Placing fifth overall in the 100-meter dash was Desir with a time of 12.17, a personal best. She also placed 12th in the 200 with a time of 25.91.Â
Tomlinson led the Green and Gold with a 2:21.13 finish in the 800 meter run, good for a finish at No. 15.
Olivia Lowe and
Danielle Foxvog also ran in the event and finished with times of 2:22.93 and 2:24.41, respectively.

Marissa Nickles came in fourth in the 10,000 meter run, finishing the event with a time of 36:25.03. Two spots behind her was
Nichelle Jackson.Â
The women's 4x400 saw the Broncos finish sixth with a time of 4:05.66. The squad was made up of Foxvog, Marquez, Monoszlay, and Gaines. Â
