The late Carol Welch was one of the all-time great basketball players in Broncos' history -- on the court and in the classroom.

Welch is the only player in CPP history to have scored at least 1,700 points, grabbed 900 rebounds and played in 135 games during her career. She was a two-time All-American, three-time All-CCAA player and was the conference's player of the year in 1981-82.

She finished her career as the school's all-time scorer with 1,783 points and currently ranks fourth.

Off the court, she is the only CPP female basketball player to have earned an NCAA postgraduate scholarship (1983).
